Rose Hip Seed Oil – Susannah’s Simple Beauty Tip

When it comes to beauty, Trinny and Susannah travel on separate paths. Whilst Trinny’s bathroom resembles a Swiss laboratory with shelves groaning under the weight of the latest cutting-edge potions, Susannah likes to keep it simple.

“There is one product above all others that I recommend and use daily, that is rose hip seed oil. It is stuffed with good omegas and works wonders on wrinkles, scars and stretch marks. I use the one by Trilogy but there are several brands that also produce top-notch products including Pai and the Organic Pharmacy. Make sure yours is organic and cold pressed – heat and chemical extraction methods change the molecular structure of the oil, rendering it quite useless.”

What does your beauty routine look like? Are you obsessed by the latest scientific breakthrough, like Trinny? Or do you love one product that brings simplicity to your life, like Susannah?

    Love your video tutorials :)

I use rose hipe seed oil too, but the one from Ole Henriksen ( I have rosacea and sensitive skin in general, and to the healing effects Susannah is mentioning, I can add that rose hip seed oil is fantastic to fight rednesses, and it moisturises amazingly. Just one piece of advice: Use facial oil on damp skin. It is a very good idea to use a face mist/skin toner just before you put on the oil. It will penetrate the skin so much better :).

Yes, that is a very good tip. A rosewater spray is ideal for oilier skins (it is slightly astringent). Thank you Jette. x

I have read every article I could find on rosacea and have tried countless products…with no luck. I came across this article by accident. I was reading about rose hip oil and saw your comment on how it has helped your rosacea. I am ordering some from Amazon and throwing out all my useless products! I can’t wait to try it. I’m also going to start following Trinny and Susannah!

Oh la la, I have used trilogy rosehip and co enzyme q10/rose hip serum for face and the roll on for eyes (yes try this at season change! Radiance and vibrancy!) since they made it and it is amazing. When I started using it I had oily skin and after years of stripping away all oils I found when you give your skin plant based oil it doesn’t produce so much of its own, and goodbye scars!

I’ve tried everything for my rosacea…. All the top branded cream, prescribed gels and even Virgin coconut oil (which seemed to help a little but leaves face extremely oily). I have been using organic RHO for about 1month now morning & night…. Smooth skin and less redness!! I find mixing it with a little aveeno is nice on the skin in mornings, then just on its own before bed on a damp face. It’s nice to be feeling more confident again…. Love the tips ladies 😎👍🏻 ps Irish bloke in Belfast, I read somewhere that rosacea is most common in fair skin people with Celtic blood, esp men…. Anyone else heard this?
