How to Wear Florals

Flat chested women like Trinny can get away with wearing big all-over florals, so long as they’re done in a way that doesn’t overwhelm you. Trinny says, “This print works because it is tone on tone so you see me before you see the dress. The necklace adds just enough colour to lift the dress from its blue depths.”

You need to be wary with big boobs and blooms. An overdose of blowsy flowers can make you look like an overblown herbaceous border as opposed to a neatly planted window box. Susannah says, “For us larger ladies, it is better to stick to separates. Wear florals on your chest or on your bottom but keep the other half plain.”

And finally, we cannot resist a bit of the old What Not to Wear… Never wear a floral suit made out of your old curtains, unless you are the one-and-only, irreplaceable Hyacinth Bucket!
