A Great Bra to Contain Big Boobs

For decades it has been part of Susannah’s lot in life to quest for comfortable bras to contain her big boobs.

Susannah says:

I have been through the entire gorgeous Elle MacPherson range, been expensively fitted and kitted at Rigby & Peller, gone basic at M&S. During a little shopping trip on Amazon, I chanced upon trusty old Triumph. I thought this was a brand for old ladies who only wore the equivalent of a pair of socks attached to pieces of elastic . Well blow me down, if I didn’t find the perfect bra! It’s called the Amazing Sensation minimiser. In the softest of fabrics with gentle wide straps that drift over my shoulders, it really is like a second skin. It ain’t the world’s sexiest but, boy, does it give my bosom a beautiful rounded shape.

Have you discovered a great bra for big boobs? Please share it in the comments, below.

Sussanah, you look gorgeous! You two are such a great inspiration. I wear a 34DDD, I’m looking to find a 32F. So far, Wacoal has been my favourite brand. They produce smaller bands and bigger cups, which give nice support and shape.

    Keep sharing tips!

My size is 34HH and in Switzerland I did not find a good fitting bra (too big bands, too small cups- always!). But now I order my bras in Poland, http://www.ewa-michalak.pl/ Perfect for me and the price is also really great.
    Greetings from Switzerland

    Hey there,
living in Germany i found a little cute company called Sugar shape. They do not use the normal sizes but all bra’s fit so well because they take your shape in cm’s. I have never worn anything better.
    Greetings, Christina.

I love Fantasie of England’s T shirt bra, Le Mystere’s Dream Tischa full fit bra, Freya, and Curvy Kate. I buy from a website http://www.herroom.com which not only carries a great selection of DD bras and up, but has great bra fitting tips. They also have a good return policy.

    Hi Trinny and Susannah,
From Canada! I’m hopeful that you remember me! Do you have any advise for measuring your bra size in order to order one of these bras from amazon? After reading your advice, I’m pretty sure that I am wearing the wrong size. Too big in the back and overflow on the sides.

      Hi Julie,
The most common problem that we see is women wearing bras that are too big in the back and too small in the cup. So the obvious first step is to go down one back size and up one cup size! Every bra brand will be sized slightly differently so measuring is only a partial answer. Here is a great video, by us (click here), and another video by Bravissimo (click here) that show very clearly how a well-fitting bra should look. If you are still in doubt we suggest that you go to a good department store for a fitting. x

Measure under your boobs – and you will have the size around, for example 80 then measure over your breast, taker the first one and – the other measure and you can look it up on the internet. The owerflow is a problem for me to – the last time I bought a bra that is higher in between and at the sides. Good luck!

It’s not the size or fit of the bras that is the problem. I the straps always fall down. I hate wearing racer-back bras a they do not have the lift, likewise cross-over give me the wrong shape in front. I don’t know what to do as every two weeks my nice new bra loses it’s straps and therefore lift. I always hand wash my bras.

Thankyou for all the amazing work you do.

I live in Australia and since I discovered Simone Perele a few years ago, I can’t wear anything else. I am a size 12E or F. They have some very functional basic bras which are still very attractive, plus some stunningly feminine and pretty bras that I thought wouldn’t be supportive enough but are so well crafted and give me a really unique shape.
